Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 10 August 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or otherwise using My CV Library ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Account Registration & Security
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Authentication for My CV Library is provided by a shared identity platform. You may sign in with an email/password or a supported third-party provider (e.g. Google).
3. Acceptable Use
- Do not use the Service to store or share unlawful content.
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data.
- Do not scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service's infrastructure.
- Do not submit false or misleading information in a CV, application, or contact request.
4. AI-Generated Content
My CV Library uses AI (including Google's Gemini models) to help generate tailored CVs, cover letters, interview preparation notes, and job-fit analysis from the information you provide. AI-generated content is a drafting aid, not professional or legal advice — you are responsible for reviewing it for accuracy before using or submitting it to a prospective employer.
5. Subscription & Payment
Some features may require a paid subscription, processed by our payment provider. Fees, billing cycles, and cancellation terms will be presented at the point of purchase. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us via the Contact Us page for billing issues.
6. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of the CV content, personal information, and career data you upload or generate through the Service. You grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the Service to you (including sending relevant excerpts to our AI provider for generation purposes — see our Security and Privacy Policy).
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time via the Contact Us page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, My CV Library is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including outcomes of job applications made using content generated through it.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
