Sales Executive CV Example
A sales CV is judged on results. Show what you sold, to whom, the size of your targets and how you performed against them, then explain how you did it: prospecting, relationship building, negotiation and pipeline discipline. Honest, specific numbers carry far more weight than adjectives.
This example follows UK conventions: two pages at most, British spelling and a personal statement at the top.

UK CV or US resume?
'Sales executive' is a common UK title for an individual contributor in sales. In the US, the equivalent roles are usually called sales representative or account executive, and 'executive' can imply a senior leadership position, so use the local title. US resumes also refer to 'quota' where UK CVs say 'target'. For a US application, use the word resume, American spelling and one to two pages.
Frequently asked questions
What numbers should I include on a sales CV?
Performance against target, revenue or new business won, ranking within your team, deal sizes, and activity measures such as meetings booked. Only include figures that are accurate and that you can discuss.
What if I missed my sales target?
Focus on achievements you can stand behind: key accounts won, pipeline built, growth in a territory or improvement year on year. Do not invent or inflate figures; references and interviews tend to expose them.
How do I write a sales CV with no sales experience?
Highlight persuasion, resilience and target-driven work from other settings: retail upselling, fundraising, hospitality, customer service or competitive sport. Show that you are motivated by measurable goals.
